UPND Provincial Spokesperson Neto Halwabala told Adu News in a statement that the late President Banda’s life of humble service to the country represents the form of humility.
Mr. Halwabala said President Banda became a beacon of peace after losing the general elections in 2011 as he conceded defeat wholeheartedly.
“On 12TH August 2021, President Banda facilitated democratically and handed over power which brought the elected President Hakainde Hichilema together with Edgar Lungu respectively” Mr. Halwabala said.
He urged citizens to mourn the late President Banda with respect and dignity adding that the ruling party is praying for the bereaved family during this traumatic period and the nation at large.
